first post!

This is my blog for participation in the SLQ Licence 2 Test Drive program.

I plan to use this blog to collate any articles / thoughts / ideas I have relating to the Queensland Museum and their presence / participation in the web. This topic is of particular interest to me as I will be managing the redevelopment of the Queensland Museum websites over the next year and I would like to see us at the forefront of web technology as it is relevant to the Museum.

I've very happy that the State Library is running this program as I believe the main reason for a lack of participation on the web is a lack of knowledge on what is out there and how it might be useful.

I believe the only way to become aware of the usefulness of any web service is to participate!
